Losses Component

It would be nice to add losses to the system, especially for ring resonators whose physics rely on cavity losses. It can just be a small waveguide with a loss slider.

Hi @skaimplou that would be some kind of light-resistor then, isn't a directional coupler just what you need here? it can simulate some kind of light loss - or do you really have some kind of device in mind that loses light?
Because: keep in mind, the devices in the software that look all very colorful have to be transformed into the nazca code so that they can be sent to a fab.

I guess what you need would be a ring resonator-component where you can set the radius of the ring manually so that the losses vary proportional to the size of the ring?
