v0.12.4 instalation problem

Hi there! I hope you are doing well. Help to figure out the problem.
I've executed the command to install the latest version of signal-cli(0.12.4) in ubuntu terminal:

export VERSION='0.12.4'
wget https://github.com/AsamK/signal-cli/releases/download/v"${VERSION}"/signal-cli-"${VERSION}".tar.gz
sudo tar xf signal-cli-"${VERSION}".tar.gz -C /opt
sudo ln -sf /opt/signal-cli-"${VERSION}"/bin/signal-cli /usr/local/bin/

after a want to register a phone, I receive an error:
signal-cli: command not found

Could you provide some notes on where I should look?

Maybe /usr/local/bin is missing from your PATH env variable. Try running /usr/local/bin/signal-cli directly.

I fixed this manually to load to the server and ununzip it in the directory /opt. Now I can send messages under signal-cli service.

Another problem I faced is when I run this command: systemctl start signal.service
I got a message: Failed to start signal.service: Unit signal.service not found.
Kinda weird, because I can send a message with the command like this: signal-cli -a ACCOUNT send -m "This is a message" RECIPIENT

This is not really weird, because signal-cli would only try to connect to a running (daemon) instance/service if you use the --dbus or --dbus-system (a Systemd wrapper) command line options (and you don't have to install a service if you don't want to). The .tar.gz archive you referenced above does not include the required definitions for Systemd/systemctl; see this wiki topic and this subdirectory.
