Known limitations

Here you can find a list of limitations for the latest ADM Version 10.3.2.24, as well as issues we are aware of that may or may not be fixed in the future:
- Themes with a fake signature that require a theme signature verification bypass (themes that need to be applied via SecureUxTheme or other theme patchers)
- Changing the offset of night light right after it activated may cause the theme to switch back as the switch time is moved to the past.
We are only able to detect if night light turns on or off and the time when it changes state at the moment. - When switching to or from daylight savings time, it may take up to 24 hours to update geopos-based suntimes, as that is the internal update rate of the location module
- Wallpapers may not update correctly for single monitor systems that use virtual desktops
- Taskbar, Tray, Explorer and the Start menu are occasionally not updating their theme properly. This may include text and window elements / background color. Close and open the window or press the windows key to fix it.
- Roamed themes may cause wallpapers and Windows/Apps system theme switch to malfunction.
- The loading splash-screen color of UWP/native Windows Apps is not updating correctly.
- Negative offsets for the Windows Night Light mode are not permitted.
- Builds 22621.674 and earlier might encounter more theme switching glitches. Please use Windows Update to update to a newer version to improve theme switching reliability.
- Builds earlier than 22621.1105: Spotlight wallpaper will only work when using classic mode, not with the "pick a theme" option. There are no settings in the theme files yet for spotlight. As a result, spotlight may sometimes randomly deactivate and show a wrong or a solid black wallpaper.
- The ignore feature on the "Pick a theme" page will not work.
- Mica in the app only works when titlebar colors are disabled and only on Windows 11 22H2 and up.
- When you don't use Auto Dark Mode to switch your apps theme while having the auto switch notifications enabled, the following limitation applies: Starting the service and choosing to postpone the theme immediately will cause theme changes via our GUI to instantly trigger a full theme switch, disregarding postpone status. After this switch has been performed, postponing while changing theme settings in the UI will function as expected.
