The general idea is for the healer to get a feel of the potential hp that will be healed through regen or answer the question: is the regen enough to heal the party before the next raid wide?
My idea is to visualize regen (heal over time in general) to be something like this:
It's like a stacked bar chart with blue color darkening (blending) into the empty HP bar as the tick is further away. Allow the user to customize the max number of ticks to display (in the screen shot above it's five), and the last tick gets remove based on how much is left on the duration of the regen.
Each segment should show the estimated recovery based on the potency of the regen (we cannot really show the true value since regen sometimes get critical hit).
no need to visualize when HP bar his full. not sure how to better visualize regen when HP bar is not full but has shields. maybe show the visualization as if it is under the shield?
