Hi,

Unlike the desktop client, the NaCl client has no "finish folding' button, which prevents downloading & work starting on a new WU after the current WU is finished.

Would be useful to have this functionality in the NaCl client as well, though.

Thanks,
Ludovic

Click the X to close Chrome, and you get the option to Finish the current WU, or to close the windows.

We have intentionally limited features in the NaCl client. With less options it's less confusing for novice users. Also, since WUs are much shorter they are also of much less value. With the NaCl client it's really not a big deal to loose half a WU. 7im's solution works if you really want this feature but note #61.

Or another workaround similar to 7im's - just hit refresh (F5) and Chrome will ask to reload or don't reload. Choose don't and you will receive message "Finishing current work unit" and under the progress bar "Calculations underway; then finishing." This work in chrome app mode too.

The feature mentioned by 7im (above) seems to be missing from the latest incarnation of the nacl client. I'm testing the feature using the method documented by bgkoss and it appears to be working.

Why was the option of triggering it using the other close-window method removed?

It looks like there are at least 4 enhancement issues which interact with each other and could all be fixed by considering them concurrently:

This one,
#74
#61
#54

Whether the Donor chooses to close the browser tab or refresh the screen, all should lead to a choice to Finish ... unless there is an explicit button for Finish ... and there still should be some kind of warning when the WU is going to be dumped.
