We already (simply) model radiogenic and tidal heat production within planetary interiors.

Some stars host strong magnetic fields which are not exactly aligned with the angular momentum vector of orbiting planets. It has therefore been suggested that induction heating due to time-dependent changes in magnetic flux density can be an additional source of interior heat.

For example:

... induction heating leads the four innermost TRAPPIST-1 planets, one of which is in the habitable zone, either to evolve towards a molten mantle planet, or to experience increased outgassing and volcanic activity, while the three outermost planets remain mostly unaffected.
