This was first reported in https://issues.chromium.org/issues/378623809 but is not getting enough attention (maybe because the issue went into wrong "component"? Someone please fix it).
Posting here because Screenshot tool is only available in Chrome for Testing and some devs on Chromium Issue Tracker doesn't even know about it.
Describe the bug
Screenshot tool always crash Chrome. It is not related to websites as the crash happens every time Screenshot tool is used. Tested with Chrome for Testing 130.0.6723.128, clean profile, Windows 10 21H2 19044.5131. Happens since at least v128 (haven't tried the tool in older versions). It happens both on a Samsung notebook with Intel i7/Nvidia and my PC with AMD-FX/Radeon; they are old but completely stable. Disabling Graphics Acceleration doesn't help. I'm not the first with this problem (see also crbug.com/357240930).
To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
On menu "Cast, save, and share", select "Screenshot".
Select a portion of the active window.
Browser will crash and close.
Expected behavior
Shouldn't crash.
Crash dump posted in Chromium Issue Tracker (link above).
