I've been using TITAN for many years now with "conventional" Doppler radar data and upgrading to dual-polarization seems to me inevitable but it raises many fears and questions.
The first question is about data conversions (or not) necessary to display on Rview: Can I display 'nc' files on Titan Rview or should I convert them into MDV once I get RadxConvert my raw data? I tried on some samples of dual-pol raw data and I only get 'nc' files and Rview can't display them.
The second question is somehow related to the first one: If I can't convert 'nc' files into MDV I guess Titan Rview is out of the question for displaying dual-pol radar data, right?
If Titan Rview can display dual-pol radar data, what is the range of products it can display? KDP? PHIDP? Rate Z ZDR? PID? RHOHV? etc.
If Rview is out of the question can HawkEye and/or CIDD display all the dual-pol products with a VSection (RHI) as effective as in Titan Rview?
I think I will stop here and wait for any feedback from your side and maybe it will raise some more questions in the future.
