A user reported that securityUtility failed with "Error: java.lang.NullPointerException" without further information.

The following is the reported output.

$ wlp/bin/securityUtility encode --encoding=aes Welcome1
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
Usage:
securityUtility encode [options]
Description:
Encode the provided text.
