I was attempting to create an optical circuit in the most recent ebeam_heaters tapeout but was not able to operate multiple heater simultaneously. My intent was to drive several asymmetric adiabatic couplers as optical switches in these circuits.
I would be happy to help contribute solving this issue but would need a little guidance.
Would it be possible to implement and HDL such as Verilog-AMS/SystemVerilog to enable system level operation of optical circuits? Have been thinking about this for some time but am unsure how to proceed. OpenCL could be a good approach to reduce programming time if we are thinking very high level computing systems (CPU/GPUs). However, this could very easily be outside the scope of the DREAM test creator and a more simple approach could be used.
Happy to brainstorm.
Cheers,
Oz
