This has to do with the way how Sublime Text renders phantoms.
Currently, there is no way to ensure a phantom will be rendered from the right (see sublimehq/sublime_text#2871 and sublimehq/sublime_text#4575)

We use a workaround, but, unfortunately, it doesn't work all the time
