Acroforms - not possible to fill out form fields?

So I see there's a single line that says:

"Please note the forms are readonly and values cannot be changed or added using PdfPig."

in acroform-example.

I was wondering.

does this mean I can't fill out text in forms?

Here I'm specifically refering to text fields, that is dynamic, where it's possible to change the value - just like the itext example here

maybe it's a feature that's not yet implemented? like referered in 764 ?
