Are people really opening files like these in mobile devices these days?
This area (of mime types, not source code files) is full of (arguable) inaccuracies and some subtleties, so we should not jump to make changes (especially on existing types). We should make them carefully.
Most users will never use "source code" files, and it will be hard to find apps that handle these in practice. I guess any text viewer may do.
