Describe the problem

After relocating my temp file directory through environmental variables, the IDE fails to boot until temp directory is restored to its original location. New temp directory is located on a virtual drive on my RAM, all other programs are able to successfully use it.

To reproduce

Change temp file directory to RAM drive
Boot IDE
Boot fails

Expected behavior

proper location of temp files, allowing the program to open

Arduino IDE version

2.3.4

Operating system

Windows

Operating system version

11

Hi @BariSaxGreg. Thanks for taking the time to submit an issue.

I see we have another report about this at #2561.

It is best to have only a single issue per subject so we can consolidate all relevant discussion to one place, so I'll go ahead and close this in favor of the other.
