@andyu17 Good morning. Thanks for opening the issue. Please elaborate your use case with self-contained code example along with additional details if any. If this is the functionality not already supported, then this issue should be labeled as a feature request instead of bug. Also, could you point to documentation or example which specifies that parameters should be supported by Parallel state?

Some analysis below:

• Refer Manipulate parameters in Step Functions workflows for information about Parameters.
  • This does not explicitly state on which state types support parameters (probably need CDK team's input).
• In CDK,
  • Parallel extends State class.
  • StateProps supports optional parameters property.
  • ParallelProps doesn't support parameters property. Also, it doesn't extend StateProps.
    • Compare it with TaskProps where it supports parameters.
    • In contrast, ChoiceProps doesn't support parameters.
  • Parameters are rendered via renderInputOutput() method. This method is invoked from various states, e.g., for Parallel state, it is invoked via Parallel.toStateJson()
  • However, since ParallelProps doesn't expose parameters property, the Parameters functionality could not be used.
