I wouldn't say it's a successor. CalDAV and CardDAV are different and supported by a different set of clients and servers. It's in active use and for instance we're currently even trying to extend it with WebDAV-Push. Currently, JMAP is not a scope of DAVx5. But if things change and JMAP somehow really replaces CalDAV or CardDAV, we will have to think about it again. |

JMAP intends to be the successor to a number of protocols, notably CalDAV and CardDAV. Would it be possible to add support for this new protocol?
