I had the problem initially only on Samsung/Android 14. After Motorola upgraded Andriod 13 → 14, the defect appeared there (deleted tasks on the server from read-only collections are not deleted locally), too. So it seems the problem appears when using Android 14. |

On a Samsung with Android 14, DAVx⁵ 4.4.2-ose and Tasks.org 13.11.1, when I download a task, which was not locally available, and had no STATUS property, the log below shows that STATUS:NEEDS-ACTION is added and the iCalendar file is PUT on the server.
The example is SUMMARY:New task ZZZ with UID:3705343f5f0727bbf3d695dfcfbf849dfaf4e859. Why is this task downloaded twice by the same thread-id 203 at 09:02:01 and at 09:02:02? For whatever reason, the first retrieval has SEQUENCE:1, PRODID:-//Ximian//NONSGML Evolution Calendar//EN and no STATUS; the second retrieval has STATUS:NEEDS-ACTION, SEQUENCE:2 and PRODID:DAVx5/4.4.2-ose ical4j/3.2.19 (org.tasks).
Does Tasks.org also synchronize, independent of the DAVx5 synchronizations?
Why does then DAVx⁵ PUT the same task with PRODID:+//IDN bitfire.at//ical4android (org.tasks) and SEQUENCE:3 ? In any case the initial task had no STATUS property and now on the server is uploaded a task with STATUS property. This changes the semantics, as no STATUS is not the same as some STATUS'
