So I'm not totally sure what I'm seeing is related to what the Launchpad issue is trying to describe, but it tracks with "wine" and "duplicate entries," anyway. Recent MenuLibre (2.2.1 from Ubuntu 20.04, and 2.3.0 from the repo) will create a duplicate, but identical desktop entry for, say
at
after editing the launcher. This causes a duplicate to show up in the system menus, but MenuLibre only displays and edits the one in the Separately (#142), editing those Wine-created desktop entries in MenuLibre adds an extra layer of backslashes, which stops them from working. I only mention it here because it's wrapped up in the Wine-related desktop entry problems I've been seeing lately, and may help somebody else to know it's another thing that could go wrong. |
