Is this project considered dead, deprecated or out of support?

I see that the latest release of the .NET library was way back in 2018. The last changes in the repo itself also appear to be from that year.

I'd like to get clarification around the support of this library. I see no mentions anywhere in the documentation around this topic. We are investigating HTML templating engines for our project, and I'd like to understand if NVelocity is a good option or if I should just discard it based on the lack of updates.

My understanding is that NVelocity itself is a port of the Apache Velocity engine. My question would also extend to that: is it also not well supported, or is this problem exclusive to the .NET port?
