The spline object created by ePMV for Blender (I think the worm spline too) has too many vertices. It seems there are two vertex points at the places where the path changes secondary structure... maybe more. 1crn makes a nice spline path with 45 points in C4D. 1crn makes a similar looking path with 91 points in Blender... the points are redundant, i.e., 2 or more points on the same Calpha, so the worm has bad geometry (sweep object), and it makes animation difficult... this might also be part of the armature problem- maybe there are 2x more bones than there should be including bones of zero length?
