Immich Photos Source

Immich has been the talk of the town recently in the open-source community trying to get away from for-profit companies like Google. Since I was running out of space on Google and I did not want to pay more for space, I have transitioned to self-hosting the photos. It would be awesome if Immich can be added as a photos source to display. I would imagine this would not be difficult to do since it is open source.

Thanks for checking it out @cocarrig! With the ever rising cost in cloud storage, I can see at some point, most DIYers are going to move forward to self-hosting. I believe Immich will be much talked about then

Add me to that list as well. I recently migrated all my photos to Immich as well. Would love to have my photos instead of others.

Thanks for the interest in this. Since the API is still being labeled as being under very active development we arent looking to implement this quite yet. From reviewing the API, its also unclear if its possible to obtain a list of URLs for the images within albums in the same manner we require for photo integrations. We would like to also note that if developed, the design would access an internet routable endpoint to the immich API if developed to access the photos, so not an intranet solution. This is because the DAKboard page is rendered in the cloud.

We will keep an eye on this opportunity, and if anyone would like to share a test instance to speed up reviewing this as a possible integration that is certainly welcome and you can contact the [email protected] email for details.
