Return of the dreaded 405 error #550

Just try changing the Messenger password. It helped me. |
Try my repository https://github.com/DMJC/purple-facebook I've fixed this. |
How do I correctly switch to your fork? It creates a plugin called |
I've renamed the output file in the meson build system. It should now be a drop-in replacement for your existing plugin. libfacebook.so is generated. Thanks for the feedback. |
I've just removed the old plugin from my distro's official repo (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed) and installed your new plugin. Unfortunately I can't login, I keep getting the
error. I tried changing the Facebook password, logging in and out to Facebook account on the website and removing and adding the account in Pidgin, so far no success. |
FB changed something and broke all 3rd party plugins. Until somebody figures out how to circumvent it, there's no joy. |
I can still login, to use my plugin I had to accept the certificates when
they pop up, you also need to sign in with email/password. I think goto the
Facebook page and authorise the login when it asks about an attempted login
from time/location.

Hey all,
Error 405 - "User must verify their account on www.facebook.com" is back. Even if I approve the login via either the website or the phone app, it refuses to let Pidgin log in and keeps giving the same error
