Hey all,
Error 405 - "User must verify their account on www.facebook.com" is back. Even if I approve the login via either the website or the phone app, it refuses to let Pidgin log in and keeps giving the same error

Just try changing the Messenger password. It helped me.

How do I correctly switch to your fork? It creates a plugin called libpurple-facebook-plugin.so, while the original creates libfacebook.so. When I reboot Pidgin, my existing account still uses the old plugin. And when I try adding a new account, there is no second Facebook option.

I've renamed the output file in the meson build system. It should now be a drop-in replacement for your existing plugin. libfacebook.so is generated. Thanks for the feedback.

I've just removed the old plugin from my distro's official repo (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed) and installed your new plugin. Unfortunately I can't login, I keep getting the

Invalid username or password (401)

error.

I tried changing the Facebook password, logging in and out to Facebook account on the website and removing and adding the account in Pidgin, so far no success.

FB changed something and broke all 3rd party plugins. Until somebody figures out how to circumvent it, there's no joy.
