Add better failure behavior

Currently, connection errors simply result in a warning, and no results are reported. No logs are reported with any level of tracing.

The warning message doesn't give much detail either, we should check if the errors are more useful when their Debug format is used, or see if there are other handlers in the ldap3 crate.
