[BUG] Reduce memory consumption

Not really a bug but also not a feature request: I'd like less memory usage.

Describe the bug
Just came across your app and I love the interface/structure.

I am doing windows-based CAD work and need to do unit conversions all the time so I'd like to just leave this app running. I'm hoping for less memory consumption, at least in the windows app when the app is in the background.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with Dart applications, but I hope there is some low hanging fruit.

172MB are a lot for this app. I just tried to freshly install the latest version of the app from the microsoft store on the latest version of Windows 11 and I measured ~53MB. So I am not able to reproduce your problem. Which OS version are you running? Could you please try reinstalling the app? Have you tried on another PC?

I measured higher memory consumption on Linux (~120MB). In this case this flutter issue might be related
