Need help with custom layouts

I really like using Amethyst, but I have a small issue that's affecting my experience with it. I'm working on a large 42-inch screen and the only layout that works well for me is "Wide". However, the main pane in this layout is positioned at the top of the screen, which is not ideal for me. I've tried tweaking the layout by increasing the number of main pane windows, which has helped, but I wish I could simply flip the secondary and main panes. I've looked into the documentation for creating custom layouts, but I'm having trouble understanding it. Can anyone offer some guidance on how to achieve this?
