Go to Slide from Link or Image

I have purchased a Wordpress theme with iosslider installed.
I would like to be able to click on a colour swatch (GIF image) which then targets a particular slide on the same page.
I'm not too familiar with this type of coding (only basic PHP) so I have no idea if this is possible.
I imagine it would be as simple as passing an onclick command to the slider with the relevant slide number?
I appreciate any help :)
