I've essentially used this same Neovim/Perl setup and approach for years without issue, but the failed tests' error messages are beyond my understanding of how the module works.

Would very much appreciate any suggestions or observations that might resolve these failures so I don't impatiently try to force-install a misconfigured module!

Thanks for your work.

Same issue here on ubuntu 24.10 on WSL

looking at the first test output:

# Failed test at t/05-events_broadcast.t line 17.
# got: 'event1'
# expected: 'event2'

and the test code:

$vim->subscribe ('event2');

$vim->command ('call rpcnotify(0, "event1", 1, 2, 3)');
$vim->command ('call rpcnotify(0, "event2", 4, 5, 6)');
$vim->command ('call rpcnotify(0, "event2", 7, 8, 9)');

my $event = $vim->next_message();
is $event->[1], 'event2';

so it looks like even though we subscribe to "event2", we are receiving the next message in the order they were sent.

@jacquesg Is this how the APIs are supposed to interact?
