  • Update _VERSION_ in imgp
  • Update date and version in imgp.1
  • Review commit history since last release and update CHANGELOG
  • Make sure help text in README.md is up-to-date
  • Create a signed tag and push to GitHub
  • Create a GitHub release and populate the release notes section with what went into CHANGELOG earlier
  • Publish package update to PyPI (brief instructions)
  • Update url and sha256 in homebrew-imgp
