I last used Deep Zoom on my iphone in September successfully , but it's no longer displaying in Safari. I'm running IOS 15.0.2.

Hi,

  1. Could you please reboot (restart) your phone and verify the problem still happens?
  2. Does the screen go blank? white? black? Any error message?
  3. What model iPhone do you have?

Sorry for the hassle,
Jay

I ran a query of the IOS Browser versions for the last week, and it looks like there are few users of 15.0.2, but other versions seem well represented.

Over the last few weeks I've updated Mapbox-gl which, if there is a new incompatibility, is likely the cause.

mapbox/mapbox-gl-js#7511

But it could also be a change in my build settings. I'll keep looking at this...

I think it's this mapbox-gl bug: mapbox/mapbox-gl-js#13361
I'll get a new release out in a day or two that incorporates this fix.
In the meantime, could you please try https://deepzoom-test.azurewebsites.net which is the pre-release test site?

Thanks for the bug report!

Looking at the recent log files, this seems to be fixed for all browsers except Safari 18.1 and Mobile Safari 18.1. I don't know if somebody is stubbornly refusing to refresh the app to get the latest version, or it's a BOT, or why only this particular browser version would still be experiencing the issue.

So, it looks like Safari 18.1 had a limited validity window. Time for me to stop worrying about this...
