Well I’ve been reading that there are memory problems with the esp3d webui?
So instead of trying to find a esp32-c3 board in states, I thought I’d ask if there’s alternatives. Thank you for your hard work

what kind of memory issue are you refering to ?
even on esp01 with 1MB flash is ok, just no space for web update, for C3 is working so far, just received the version with ESP01 form factor and it is ok.

I’m very sorry. I must be leaving out info. I thought that I’ve read that your esp32 webui has become too large for the 1 Meg version of the the esp 8266. Somewhere on the GitHub entry it has a statement of leaving out languages and features to make the webui fit on the 1 Meg esp board. So I thought that I would seee if there’s another board with the same form factor with bigger flash memory. I’m still new to the world of printing and esp wifi. So I apologize for being a newbie. Thank you for your hard work!

webUI work well on 1MB flash but do not use the multiple language version WebUI if you use the 2.X esp3d, because yes now have too many language and size is too big - the mono language version for 2.X are here : https://github.com/luc-github/ESP3D-WEBUI/tree/2.1/languages
you can also build your own set of language if necessary

the coming version of esp3d and webui handle language as external package which remove the need of building according language , but allow to load langiage pack dynamicaly,

Hi I’ve gotten most of it working except if I put it in the printer it doesn’t recognize it. I don’t think it’s anything to do with the esp or firmware because I can connect through my laptop to the esp and configure the device. I can see the webui and it lets me setup the printer settings
But when I plug esp8266 into skr mini e3 board it doesn’t recognize the fact it’s plugged in. I was wondering if you could help with that? Do I need to turn the wifi on in marlin or something? Thank you again for your hard work!

how do you wire your esp8266 to skr ? what kind of esp8266 board is it ? on which skr serial port are you connected ?

What ever the stock firmware has configured.
And as I say that I realize I need to check the serial port setup in marlin. I must apologize but I will not be able to work with it until day after tomorrow. But thank you you pushed me in right direction! Thank you for your hard work and time!

Additionnaly, does your SKR mini E3 V3 have a socket for ESP01S or do you use wire ? I cannot see on google pictures of this board, in that case ESP01 need more than RX/TX/GND/VCC https://github.com/luc-github/ESP3D/wiki/ESP8266-01

Your an amazing soul! I’m sorry once again! I left out that the esp8266 plugs into the touchscreen. I have the BTT tft35 v3 touchscreen. I’m so sorry, I’m still learning on how to ask for help!

Hi, I hope I’m not waking anyone but I can’t find the information on how to set up the ports in marlin to work with esp3d webui. Im at work and I’ve searched 1 1/2 hours. I know it here.

I thought I answered your question earlier. It plugs into the btt tft35 v3 touchscreen. Did I miss something?

you mentionned you have tft, not that esp is connected to tft
in that case the configuration is in Tft not on Marlin, if your your board is already configured for the tft then Marlin is ok

Hi, I’m sorry for being a pain in the neck but I’ve found that in need to enable the baud rate in the serial port configuration file on the touchscreen. I will be able to test tomorrow.

good morning
ive managed to have quite a bit of success. thank you for your patience!
after adjusting the baud rate in the btt tft35 touchscreen config.ini file and in touchscreen local settings to 115200.
i was able to communicate.
next was the busy processing error on the touchscreen, it just locked up touchscreen when i sent a command to the esp8266 via esp3d.
i figured out that the spiffs i chose was too small, so i increased it to 512k.
ive just sent my first print command and it works!
i have a question?
the commands widow is constantly updating and i dont have anything checked. both temperature and position are unchecked (off).
