I'm going crazy

How the hell do I get from:

secret-variables:
  .env:
    - app_key
    - db_username
    - db_password
  .env.db:
    - db_username
    - db_password

To:

app_key
db_username
db_password

With yq '.secret-variables | .[.env] | .[]' I get:

app_key
db_username
db_password
db_username
db_password

I have tried every single combination for the past 2 hours, but apparently still not the right one. I also cannot seem to find any documentation on yq. I have never used jq either so none of this makes sense to me.

And just as I post this, chatgpt spits out the right answer after giving me bogus stuff for god knows how long.
yq '.secret-variables[".env"][]' secret-vars.yml
