Handle zotero:// URLs

Would it be possible for ZotPad to handle zotero:// URLs so that when I have another app with a reference to zotero it opens in ZotPad? For example I use ZotDevon to create a list of my references in DevonThink. This creates a URL in DevonThink that looks like this:

zotero://select/item/0_5EPBPI87

On the Mac, this opens Zotero and selects the PDF. When I sync DevonThink to the iPad, the URL is there, but tapping it does not open ZotPad. Would there be a way to make it so that when an app on the iPad tries to open such a URL it is handled by ZotPad?

Would this implementation be page specific, i.e. open the PDF to a specified page? This would be a truly killer feature
