Last commit break mbrola

Hi,
Since the last commit, I cannot use mbrola. I reverted to e4b464f commit and everything is ok on Linux (Fedora 30, X84, GCC 9.1.1)

I cannot reproduce it on 64-bit (L)Ubuntu 16.04. Can you check what exactly causes the problem?

I reproduced on error, when MBROLA was used from espeak-ng:

espeak-ng -X -vmb-en1 hello
Found: 'hello' [h@loU]  
h@l'oU
mbrola: Fatal error in line:
mbrola: 
mbrowrap error: mbrola closed stderr and did not exit
mbrowrap error: mbrola exited with status 253

If this is the same error, then commit 3b77613 may have fixed this.
Please check.
