squaremap is a minimalistic and lightweight live world map viewer for Minecraft servers.
I saw that some people asked for it on Discord, and I'm interested too.

I could try to implement it.

Sure go for it! We had pl3xmap support for a while until the project was abandoned and the API stopped working, if I recall correctly squaremap is the successor project, isn't it?

My two cents: pl3xmap is the original and was paused for a while but BillyGalbreath and others revived it a while back (1 to 2 years ago?) I used the original, switched to squaremap (which is a great fork), and then back to pl3xmap again (they did some pretty neat optimizations that drew me back in).

I added Pl3xmap support a couple years ago. It ended up being removed somewhat recently cause they couldn't decide on an addon system and kept changing things, leaving it completely broken. I really wasn't sure where the project was headed after it was suddenly transferred to a new owner with no announcement, so I didn't bother updating it.

+1 for support though i'd vote both Squaremap and the newer Pl3xmap version support if possible. Seems the project is going strong again now that granny is maintaining it along with Purpur.
