I am using Merkaartor release version 0.18.3 in Fedora (FC30) Linux Distribution.
Is there an easy way, (i.e., other than actually selecting a building trace drawing one at a time), to view (or show simultaneously) all building numbers (i.e., building:housenumbers) in the current data set, while editing OpenStreetMap? This would be extremely helpful when entering hundreds of building numbers on a street. This can also help in preventing a user making data errors.
Thank you.

Yes, there currently is a way to display addr:housenumber on individual nodes. I just tried to set it up on areas, but it does not seem to work.
You need two things:
Style that supports this rendering (Tools -> Style -> MapnikPlus has it).
Enable "names" drawing in Show -> Names
However, the rendering performance drops significantly in almost every non-trivial area.
You can extend it to more tags in the style editor, just look up the addr:housenumber rule ( not [addr:housenumber] is NULL ) and duplicate that for other tag names. You also need to modify the "Label" tab in the rule to change the rendered label.
I'm open to suggestions on extending the default theme with other useful tags.
