How to template/parameterise documentation

I'd like to be able to parameterise documentation such that Tech Comms folks can maintain our "Minimum Requirements" documentation wrt the wording and formatting, but the actual minimum requirement values come from something structured - perhaps even just the yaml front matter?

For example I'd like to document my requirements along the lines of:

# Requirements

Foo bar requires a minimum ${frontmatter:min-ram} of memory in order to function correctly.

Dev/Ops can then automate the maintenance of the structured front matter while Tech Comms can focus on the content and presentation.

Is something like this possible?
