Maccy with custom keyboard layout — not pasting #520
Comments
What keyboard layout do you use? |
In any event, the fix has not been released yet, but you can try the version from #482 (comment) and see if it helps. |
Hi, thanks lot for your quick reply! I hadn't realised the fix had not been released yet. I tried the version you posted, and unfortunately it didn't work. It recognises the cmd+number commands correctly. However, when pasting, it does the same thing again, i.e. not pasting. I'm using a customised Dvorak keyboard. |
Please share the name of your layout in macOS system settings. |
Thanks a lot for your help. |
Oh, so this is some non-standard layout? I was not aware of those. I'll see if I can make a better fix for it. |
Yes, non standard. Thanks a lot for your help !!! |
I didn't manage to reproduce it, the layout didn't seem to work on my computer. However, I've pushed what I believe could be a fix for it. Please let me know if it helps. |
OK, thank you! From what I understood, you're fixing it by detecting the « ⌘ » inside the name of the keyboard. I'll try if that works, and I'll know that if I change my layout, I'll have to add ⌘ at the end. |
Yeah, it's hacky but should work since your layout is called "bépo 1.1 - Azerty ⌘" |
Thanks a lot, it worked! My layout didn’t previously had a ⌘ in it (because I was using a personalised version of it), but I added it and now it’s working like a charm! Thanks a lot!!! |
Hi,
Thanks for this wonderful app! It works wonderfully with a standard layout, but with my custom layout, it doesn’t paste.
I think it’s linked to similar issues than the ones mentioned here:
#482
I also have a layout where the keyboard shifts to qwerty when command is pressed. And when I try to paste with Maccy, it sends a hotkey to the window, but not cmd+v but cmd+the key where v is when cmd isn’t pressed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have a great day!
