Look at the following descriptions of a summarization vis view using the metaphor of a metro map.

Metro Maps of Science. Shahaf et al. KDD 2012.
Trains of Thought. Shahaf et al. WWW 2012.
Information Cartography. Shahaf et al. KDD 2013.

There's a talk + slides about the second paper here: http://research.microsoft.com/apps/video/dl.aspx?id=161402

The slides and the paper mention that they have a site and they're hoping to launch soon, but I can't find anything. A screenshot in the slides shows http://anchor.ml.cmu.edu/TrainsOfThought/www/htdocs/index2.html, but it doesn't exist anymore.
