Dear users and contributors,

The next minor release of SLEEF is due early in the new year. Here is a schedule and description of the initial scope for SLEEF 3.8.

Validation - 20 Jan 2025 - 24 Jan 2025
Release Date - 03 Feb 2025

Release Scope

The idea of this release is to further consolidate our CI tests, improve documentation, revamp benchmarker and show some updated benchmark figures. Of course any new contributions will be warmly welcome.

Tests: Improve ulp evaluation, add security checks, ...
Benchmarks: New benchmark infrastructure and new results
CI: add Arm-hosted runners for native tests
Build system: Investigate how to improve CPU detection across architectures
