We are currently using Urho3D.NET for our app. Their lack of Impostor support has sent me looking for alternate solutions.
We are also starting an effort of trying to accomplish the following for MAUI:
Our default choice, currently, was Urho.NET, because so much progress has been achieved already. But the cons of Urho are:
For Stride3D, we can overcome #.2 above, by finding ways to bring in a larger audience, which can be achieved in-part by integrating with MAUI and Avalonia (both ways). This'll make it a natural choice for Xamarin/Maui devs to make easy use of Stride3D.
We've narrowed our choice down to:
Stride3D is set up to be the winner here, IMO, because of it being open-source pure C#. But I think it has the least momentum and the smallest community, currently. So this is a big concern, and might disqualify Stride3D as a viable contender.
I'm posting here, so that the community/contributors can correct me where I'm wrong, or let us know if they believe they can accomplish this MAUI integration, which for our purposes, is a tantamount. I am willing to do some heavy-lifting here too, if I become convinced that Stride3D is worth my investment of time.
