If we could have a launcher that would seamlessly support both embedding WildFly and launching an external WildFly process (using WildFly Launcher), that would be super-awesome. If not, it would still be useful to investigate both:

It would have to be a separate module (creaper-launcher). AFAIK, it's not possible to support AS7.
