Yes, the man page to which I linked was on the website.

This is prob the reason of why they are broken

I think the quick fix one could do is to just redirect to a manpage directly:

https://www.mankier.com/1/sxiv

Also, it seems the maintainer is no longer active? There's several pull request for a while, the most recent one is gif support
