Issue Reporting
If you encounter any issue of any sort, first take these steps:
- Ensure you are using the latest version. You can follow this tutorial, just make sure to use the latest (including beta) version: Installing FlansMod
- Take a look at the compatibility list. It contains know issues and fixes to them.
- Ensure your version is supported. We currently only support these Minecraft versions:
- 1.12.2
- Ensure the issue has not already been reporting by using the search feature.
- Submit a new issue if you have followed all of the above steps.
- Follow the available issue templates. The templates help you to provide the information that we will require to fix the problem.
- Provide as much detail as possible.
There are three types of issues: Feature request, Bug report and Crash report.
If you want current behaviour changed, or you want the see something new added, this is the right place
Get Started with a feature request
If something doesn't work, doesn't work as expected or somehow else differs from normal game play or previous versions, this is the right section.
Please try to replicated the bug with the lowest amount of mods installed as possible, as it might just be caused by another mod and is completely unrelated with Flan's Mod
If your game crashes, you are in the right section
First make sure the crash is caused by Flan's Mod, otherwise we simply cant help you. If you are unsure what mod caused the crash, consider a tutorial on how to read and understand crash reports.
If your crash is caused by Flan's Mod, fill out the template and create a gist, paste your crash log there, and link it in the template. If you do not know how to use GitHub gists, use this Tutorial
We will not help you with crash reports just pasted into form, as it is very hard to read and just makes the complete process unnecessarily hard.
Get started with a crash report
If you have other issues, try to use the Bug report template as complete as possible. Issues not following any template will generally be closed without reason, as it is near impossible to manage these kinds of issues.
