* Care Package 2a has been replaced with a new mission, FW Deep Memorial, a set of missions and events that offers regardless of the player's choices, but which has a branch if Brower dies during the attack.
` He smiles sadly. "Skaldgar always had a nose for good folks. Anyways, he told me he had a nephew named Helm who worked at the Norn spaceport. Find 'im and he can get'cha and this stone where it needs to go." The young man then looks you in the eye and gives a slow respectful nod, "For Ol' Skaldgar, may he be findin' ore in hel."`
` "Oh yes." He shifts his weight on the stool. "I'm old enough to remember hayipp bread, yur ki bread - you name it. Hayipp is a grain, similar to your human 'corn,' which creates a wholesome ruddy brown flour when milled. The bread was hearty, yet exquisite." You note the wistful look on his face. "Yur ki is a milk, sourced from livestock we raise. You may have seen some on Newhome; I'm told your kind has a similar animal called 'sheep.' Bread made from yur ki is rich and decadent. It is among my favorite foods to have for breakfast." He pauses for a moment and looks a bit downcast. "Acorn bread was once a rare sight in Hai cuisine. Far too sweet. But, since humans have joined us on our planets, all they want is acorn bread. The high demand has displaced all of the traditional breads that I grew up with from high traffic areas such as this spaceport restaurant. I miss having them easily available."`

` You find a movie theater showing Likeet's film, but your translator is of little help here. The movie is sparse on dialog, and the few lines spoken in the movie seem to be cryptic references to Hai literature and philosophy. The most you are able to make out is that the movie is about an unseen monster inhabiting the station that slowly drives those it meets insane. It seems to be a hit with the Hai audience, though, and you leave the theater feeling distinctly unnerved.`

conversation
`With some time to kill while your ship is being serviced by the Hai dockhands, you enter the spaceport searching for a bite to eat. Restaurants advertise their menus in bright, attention-grabbing colors on their windows; among the selection, you spot one that promises "authentic Hai cuisine," along with some large text printed in the Hai language. Next to it, you see a human street food vendor offering snacks and ready-made meals.`

` Food made by humans is certainly the safer option. The vendor sells you a dish comprised of steamed vegetables, along with a fillet of some yellow-tinged fish which she assures you is perfectly edible. The meal is somewhat bland, but the fish is buttery and tender. You dispose of the leftovers in a nearby garbage receptacle, and you watch as it beeps melodically, incinerating the refuse.`

label restaurant
` A Hai restaurant is sure to provide a more unique experience. The door jingles a short melody as you enter the establishment, and a middle-aged female Hai with her back to you shouts something in the Hai language.`

` Your translator chirps dutifully, "Have a [seat, rest] anywhere you like! I'll be right with you."`

` Only a short moment later, the same Hai hostess peers over at you and chitters in what you assume is embarrassment. "I'm so sorry. I didn't realize I would have the pleasure of serving a human today. Please, have a seat anywhere at the bar. I'll come to take your order shortly."`
` You take a look around and note that the restaurant is actually quite crowded. There are Hai dressed in fancy tuxedos, fashionable clothing, casual dress, and even some wearing peculiar overalls with holes in the backs for their tails; there don't seem to be any other humans. With only a few seats available, you select one on the end, next to a rather large Hai wearing green overalls and an orange straw hat. He grunts noncommittally as you sit down on a stool clearly designed for an organism with a tail. Before long, the hostess approaches and asks for your order.`
choice
` "I'll have today's special."`
` "I'd like some soup, please."`
` "You're in luck," she says. "Today only, each meal is served with a free side of acorn bread." She scampers off to place and retrieve your order.`
` The Hai next to you grunts again - this time with clear frustration - and turns to speak. "Acorn bread! That's all they serve here anymore. Ever since you humans arrived in our space, that's all we get to eat. Traditional Hai breadmaking has become a lost art."`
choice
` "Can you tell me about traditional Hai breadmaking?"`
` "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend your culture."`

` The look on his face softens. "I should be the one to apologize. It's not your fault that our spaceports' menus have changed in this respect. Humans have also brought new life to many parts of Hai society. It is only a pity that we have to travel far to find the types of bread that we had in years past."`
` "Can you tell me about other types of bread?" you ask.`

` As if on cue, the hostess arrives with both of your meals. The Hai next to you, whose name you still do not know, sighs as he sees his free acorn bread, but he eats it nonetheless. You each finish your meals in silence and leave.`
