Archer’s Challenge is a simple target-shooting game with a bow. It’s a prototype showcasing primitive VR (virtual reality) and MR (mixed reality) gameplay. Built with Unity, it supports Windows (PCVR) and Android (Oculus Quest).
There are two endless modes:
- VR — You spawn in a dungeon. Targets appear on the wall opposite you, and you’ve got to spot them and nail them.
- MR — Uses a pass-through camera and real-world scanning, spawning targets randomly around the boundary of your space. Same drill: find ’em and shoot ’em.
The game has a main menu set in a rustic village house, where you can pick a mode or bail out.
The game planned a level system as additional modes, a store with various bow and arrow skins, as well as an achievement system. Different level modes (for time, accuracy, number of targets, etc.) and different types of targets (static, moving, teleporting, etc.). However, due to limited time and resources, these functions were not implemented, but some workpieces and developments remained in the project.
