My name is Alan, I am a software developer with a Master's in Applied Computing degree (grad. 2023).

I know the importance of good design and efficient coding and how they relate to the performance and long-term maintainability of a project.

I enjoy to constantly explore learning, share my knowledge, and motivate others to keep improving their skills.

While my academic experience was coding mostly in Java and Python, my college's thesis project was done in C# (Godot Engine) when I made a Procedural Content Generator module for the creation of 2D Levels, and master's in C++ (OMNeT++) for the creation of a Communication Protocol in Causal Group for Hierarchical and Unreliable P2P Overlay Networks.

Considering my experience, I would love to lead my career with focus on Back-end for web applications, Algorithms and Systems development, as I find them the most interesting topics in the field.

I care about becoming really good at my stack to offer real-life solutions. In the other hand, soft-skills like communication, problem solving, teamwork and empathy have been crucial in my personal and professional life.

In my leisure time, I surprisingly enjoy non-tech but social activities like playing board games, to hangout with family and friends, and street photography. And chill out with some storytelling from books, movies, and videogames, as well.
