Installation

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

  • Node.js v14 or higher
  • npm v6 or higher
  • Git installed on your machine

Local Setup

Follow these steps to set up the project locally:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/warehouse-management.git
    cd warehouse-management
  2. Install dependencies:

     npm install
  3. Configure Firebase:

  • Create a Firebase project at Firebase Console.

  • Enable Authentication and Firestore in your Firebase project.

  • Replace the Firebase configuration variables with your own Firebase project credentials.

    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_API_KEY=your_api_key
    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_AUTH_DOMAIN=your_auth_domain
    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_PROJECT_ID=your_project_id
    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_STORAGE_BUCKET=your_storage_bucket
    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_MESSAGING_SENDER_ID=your_messaging_sender_id
    REACT_APP_FIREBASE_APP_ID=your_app_id
  • then seed data in the base

  • ensure to change username and password

      node seed.js
  1. Start the development server:

    npm start

    The application will run at http://localhost:3000.

  3. Dashboard:

    • After logging in, you will be redirected to the dashboard.
    • Use the sidebar to navigate through different warehouse locations.
    • Click on items to view detailed information.
  4. Manage Items:

    • Utilize search and filter functionalities to manage inventory efficiently.
