Things to do in Boston

Boston Symphony Orchestra

The Boston Symphony Orchestra is one of the best orchestras in the US, and the symphony hall is within walking distance from WVH. A season runs from October to the first week of May. If you enjoy classical music, there are two programs we can take advantage of:

  • College Card program: Every season, you can purchase a college card for $25. On Mondays, if there are any leftover tickets for that week's performances, you get one for free. These are very good seats, probably at least $80 if you bought them on your own.

  • 20 Under 40: If there is a performance you really want to see, or you want to invite a non-student, you can purchase up to two tickets per performance for $20, provided you are below the age of 40.

Some other tips: Only the opening night requests formal attire. Weekend nights are a little more formal. The Friday afternoon performances may be less enjoyable because more people forget to silence their phones.
