A configurable view mode has been added via a Material-UI menu in the footer. The new modes are "Normal" (no thumbnails), "Thumbnails", and "Heatmap". Layouts with plate data will use "Normal" by default and the "Heatmap" mode can be triggered when table data is loaded. We'll expand the heatmap to layouts without plate data later.
