Diff from RevB V1.0

  • removed unnecessary 470R from Daytimer module
  • added a 10K pull down to the Empty Sensor signal line to keep the basee of the BC547B from floating
  • defined where the Daytimer components are on the main board
  • rerouted

Added

  • control header
  • expanded monitoring header
  • empty hopper detection
  • reduced deposit/dispense senor wires from 4 to 3
  • added "daytimer" sensor to disable timed dispense at night
  • moved optional power switch to 2-pin header
  • added footprint for single or stacked USB type B
  • added transistor to sink current for PBKA
  • traced module boundaries on the board
  • decreased resistor values for motor controller and IR LED 555 outputs
  • added tab routing to edge cuts

RevA V1.2 Pre-release
Pre-release

For the 3rd small run of PCBs.

This started out on breadboards, then stripboard - with many experiments and revisions. My first two runs of PCBs had some annoying mistakes in them. Fixable, but I want a completely working board - no bodge wires or cut traces required.

Fixed issues found in v1.0 and v1.1.

  • PIR is wires correctly and pins arranges to match most PIR module pinouts (v1.0)
  • added a 100K bleeder resistor actoss C7 so the pulse shortener works more than once (-_-) (v1.1)
  • added another 10K resistor and diode to the timer output so it can turn on the sensors - else it will run for ~11 seconds (v1.1)
  • added optional capacitors to the sensor outputs to prevent triggering on power up
  • removed unecessary 10K resistors on pin 4 of the timer and IR 555s.
  • removed motor and timer pins from the external header and rearranged them to match typical 4-channel level shifter pinouts
  • connected the barrel jack switch pin to ground
